Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator from South Carolina, died on Saturday at the age of 71.
According to a statement from his office that released early Sunday morning on social media: "On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a brief and sudden illness. What was the official cause of death? We have no word on that at the moment other than it was "a brief and sudden illness."
